‘Tip a Cop’ promotion a big hit at Applebee’s

Law enforcement professionals from the Minot area gathered at Minot's Applebee's Neighborhood Grill and Bar Monday and Tuesday in an effort to raise money for Special Olympics by acting as "celebrity guest" servers and hosts.
As part of the "Tip a Cop" promotion, uniformed officers visited customers at their tables, soliciting donations as part of a statewide effort that included 12 Applebee's locations in eight cities.
Monday, members of the 5th Security Squadron and the North Dakota Highway Patrol were on duty, while Tuesday featured Ward County sheriff's deputies and Minot police officers.
